One of the first thing's that struck me about this album was a very classy piano, being played by one of the creators of this album, Gordon Whyte. To stamp this guy's credentials Gordon has played and worked with Noel Richards, Ian White, Andy Piercy and John Bell. On top of that he has also featured at Spring Harvest and the Greenbelt and Carberry Festivals in between which he has found time to do a Masters degree in engineering (phew!). The main aim so we are told on the inlay of this album is to bring healing and encouragement. And with the experience of Susan Lennartson who is a counsellor and has a particularly good voice I think that it has and will continue to reach that goal. Susan, who is from the US of A, has been singing for quite a long time. She has appeared in numerous choirs and singing groups which have toured the States and has completed one solo tour. Unfortunately as with many privately produced recordings, production wise it is a little rough round the edges. BUT this doesn't mar the potential that it holds. Apparently Gordon and Susan are well into developing another album which is going to be a lot more upbeat. All in all this is a good first attempt and could be a good little buy. The track "Journey" is an absolute peach by the way.
