The idea behind the Gospel Song Union is to produce musical resources that will equip the believer for worship and encouragement. The songs have been generated by members of a number of bands - Citizens & Saints, Kings Kaleidoscope, The Modern Post, Ghost Ship and The Sing Team - and made available as a free download. This EP provides a set of five songs with a rock vibe from the pacy "Grace Alone" to the unplugged "Satisfied In You". The heavy guitar-laden "Fix My Eyes" exudes a passion for devotion while "In Tenderness" is an earthy cry of praise for "the grace that brought me to the fold of God." The aim of GSU is to produce songs that might have a lasting legacy. The offering here suggests there is a long way to go before seeing the realisation of that vision. But it's an encouraging start.
