If I had to pick an album that perfectly sums up the best of Nashville CCM, this would be it. With his third album Greg Long comes of age and combines smooth Nashville production values with straight forward songwriting trying to get to grips with a few important issues of faith. Occasionally dipping into a few new musical influences, Greg has an appealing vocal style that seems to flow effortlessly through this set of songs drawing the listener gently into the album. "We Love You Jesus" (co-written with John Elefante) sets the scene with its bright eyed uplifting feel and big chorus! The title song is so wonderfully lyrically uncompromising and it pops along apace with a nice groove and plenty of gospel stylings from Greg O'Quinn 'n' Joyful Noyze that it's impossible not to love it. One song destined to be huge is the ballad "Mercy Said No" is a beautiful gift for anyone who is struggling with sin, a gentle reminder of the truth, "More Like Jesus" is a gently prayerful encouragement to continue the journey becoming more like him. If you like the Nashville CCM sound and songs that encourage your heart, this is a good one.
