Featured in the Canadian music scene article in CR71, Greg Magirescu is not only a singer and songwriter, but a tireless worker in the struggle to build an infrastructure to enable Christian music in Canada to grow and flourish. Tracks from this 2001 CD, released in Canada on Greg’s deliciously named Angel Cake Café label, have already made it onto the UCB Europe playlist, the opening song "Leaf On The Water" being the first, and it has a bright pop quality and interesting musical progression to go with its thoughtful lyrics ("Before I found you I’d be … like a leaf on the water down the river of life"). The album checks in at just under 40 minutes and the production quality is good throughout, Greg’s songwriting is cliché-free, and the whole thing is worthy of your attention.
