There is some classic rock vibe here from American Greg Wollan on an album released alongside the ringing riffs and anthemic choruses back in 2002. But you can also hear some of the progressive rock flavour that emerged in his later album. This is a good example of this rare genre in Christian music, avoiding the potential pitfall of sounding pompous he actually manages to come over as authentic. "That Which I Do" is a reflection based on Romans 7 of the failure to live as God wants. But for me "Peace Of God" is a standout - the vibe isn't one that you'd associate with peace, instead Greg ably explores the theme of searching for that peace in all the wrong places. A nicely crafted project from a fine US muso.
