Harmony Hi-See, from Medford in Oregon, has a heart for the lost and a passion to use his gift to draw people to Christ. The rapper offers a hugely accessible and contemporary project, with a number of anthem-like tracks, like "C'est La Vie" with Young S, a banging hip-hop-house track (similar to the challenging "New Wine" featuring Roman Watson). On a number of tracks, Harmony Hi-See demonstrates some phenomenal fast skills on the mic (the passionate west coast feeling lead track "I'm Getting Up" with awesome double-timing). The emcee has quite a fast, almost dirty south flow which he mixes with a range of hip-hop styles - such as the rolling "My Time" featuring Sinsear or the dirty south "Trunk-O-Boom". There's a huge range of autotuned vocals and hooks that can sometimes be a little overwhelming but generally they don't detract from the powerful messages that Harmony brings on many tracks. "Thorn In My Flesh" is a smooth downtempo number to bring things down. The "Hi-See Unplugged" is incredibly powerful as Hi-See gives some of his testimony and heart for his album to speak out about sexual abuse.
