The aptly named Haste pound their way through five songs on what looks like a debut CD. Hailing from Australia, this is fast paced punk music from a classic three-piece line up that deliver with breathless energy. With six songs and a total time of 12 minutes (including the hidden hilarious country spoof "Hogs"), this is short, sharp and straight to the point musically and lyrically. The band seem to be determined to deliver in Ramones fashion - if it can't be said in two minutes, why say it? "Only One For Me" sets the pace and is upfront in its declarations whereas the fun "Wombats" is a 30 second bit of fun! It's "Jimi D" that does it for me with its message of standing out from the crowd and not taking any notice of fads and fashions. Cool message and cool music.
