This latest double CD in the series which began way back in 2000 is something of a transatlantic collaboration, containing work from studios in the USA (Seattle) and the UK (Seaford, Bury and Huddersfield). The cover versions here are of songs by Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Benton Brown, Andy and Wendy Green, Tim Hughes, Paul Baloche, Keith & Krystin Getty and Stuart Townend and some of the vocal backings come from Bury Christian Fellowship, Greater Manchester. While a larger portion of the 30 tracks are older and more familiar, some of the newer ones are well worth a second listen. The declarative "Our God" is an uncomplicated song of praise and worship with a quiet but effective vocal backing. "Arms Of Grace" is an anthemic rocker that will have your foot tapping with its staccato piano lead and driving rhythm. With it's simple lyrics Audrey Assad's "Restless" is easy on the ear as her voice and the piano blend in this very listenable statement. "I Believe In You" is a small band blend of drums/guitars/keyboard which backs clear and pleasing vocals that proclaim a living saviour who has risen again to heal the world. One of the better Heart Of Worship albums.

Product Description
How do you talk about an album like Heart of Worship 10? Do you remind people of how good the other nine were? (Very.) List a few of the names on the cover? Tomlin, Redman, Wickham, Getty, Townend, Hughes, Nockels, Hillsong). Highlight the anthems that have helped bring life back to the lungs of local churches over recent years? (Cannons, God Of This City, How He Loves Us, Our God).
Well, you could try it, and it would probably work well enough. But you’d probably be missing the point. The whole Heart of Worship series has not been about the stats or the stars, but - as the title says - the heart. And the worship. And this album has plenty of passion and truth running through both.
