If truth be told, there are dozens of CDs similar to this one where producers take a batch of popular or soon-to-be-popular worship songs and record new renditions of them. What makes this series a little unusual is that the recordings were done live. Not that there's a great deal of similarity between the two albums, however. The first 'Here I Am To Worship' seems to have had backing tracks recorded in London with the vocalists (unnamed) cut on location at People's Church, Franklin, Tennessee. Volume two here, with lead vocalists Lisa Cochran and Terry White and the rather more famous Kristyn Getty and Cathy Burton, was recorded at a live worship event at St Andrew's Church, Coleraine, Northern Ireland. Two CDs of excellent new songs including Tim Hughes' "Beautiful One", Matt Redman's "Facedown", Delirious?' "Majesty (Here I Am)", Abundant Life's "Everybody", Hillsong's "For All You've Done" plus a couple of tried and tested hymns. Okay of its kind but as usual, your best purchase would be to find the originals of these songs.
