Sorry to report that the immediate impression is the poverty of the songwriting of Messrs Park and Hoile. Swiftly followed by the uppercut of the band's inability to do anything much with the material anyway. The only tracks with any appeal are where the band abandon any pretence of being pop rockers and settle down into a gentle number like "Merchant Of Hope" which is OK. "One Day" is not bad either, though the song's style and the vocalist's interpretation sound heavily influenced by John Pantry (no offence intended to that worthy gent). Attempts at being rhythmic such as "Kingdom" are messy, the vocalist is unsuited for it, and anyway it's a rotten song. A band with a long, long way to go.
