Okay, now I really am starting to suspect a conspiracy. As a confessed Praise Music phobic I was a little concerned about the last worship album review copy I received, but now I've got another one. And this time it's a Hillsong release. That series of albums I've seen proudly sitting at the top of bookshop charts, and which I've scrupulously avoided. So I was in a cold sweat when I put this one in. First impression was that this at least offers VFM -Value For Money. At over 73 minutes playing time for 14 tracks your hard-earned cash gets a decent stretch. Second impression was of a quality live recording that has passion and enthusiasm aplenty. This is no more in evidence than in the guitar and horn filled openers "One Day" and "Faith" and the bopping "Everyday" Yet it was the slower, more reflective songs that really grabbed my attention and sucked me in, songs such as "Carry Me" and the excellent "Dwell In Your House". I can't say that I'll be going out to buy the back catalogue - it's just not my thing - but I'm still more than happy to commend this album to you, the discerning CR reader.
