A praise blockbuster if ever there was one. Recorded live at the '98 Hillsong Conference, Hills Christian Life Centre's famed worship leader Darlene Zschech is joined by a couple of heavyweight American guests Ron Kenoly and Alvin Slaughter. Disappointingly though, the American's stick to their own material. For the Aussies Hosanna! Music have chosen a wedge of the best songs from the vast Hillsong repertoire so if you've already got a few Hillsong albums you'll already know a lot of this material. But they're given exhuberent renditions here and "Friends In High Places", "All Things Are Possible" and Darlene 's classic "Shout To The Lord" leading the listener into heartwarming, spirit-lifting worship. Sometimes the truly huge choir tend to swamp some of the more sensitive material and the orchestrations are a little fussy for my tastes, but no one could fail to discern that Darlene has a magnificent voice and, on the best songs here, brings all the emotive passion and bitter sweet poignancy to her own and Russell Fragar's memorable songs. Lots of atmosphere and a class worship album.
