After a little while away from the scene, Holy Soldier return with an up to the minute modern rock album. Their debut release on the Forefront label has again been produced by David Zaffiro and it grabs the attention from the opening grungy chords of the album's title song through the atmospheric rock of "My World" and the gentle guitar of "Mumbo Jumbo" and the epic "Love Conquers AN" where the vocals sound like the Crash Test Dummies! I love the jerky insistent "Cover Me" which looks at modern temptations. Talking of covers, their take on Larry Norman's "Why Don't You Look Into Jesus" (also featured on the 'One Way' compilation) and completely change the melody, to good effect too. A diverse collection of rock sounds with enough to maintain interest without necessarily being an absolute classic.
