Quite a while since I've seen a hitherto unknown dance release actually in the shops, so it was good to see this single popping up recently. This is sure to please fans of Christian club music. Exactly who Home Truth are is not revealed on the inlay, bar the credits going to Si Levell (possibly the same guy who released sanctified dance tape 'Levell Vibes' reviewed back in CR26), Steve Baker (Abundant gospel club DJ) and Rachel Modest on vocals. With a title like 'Suprised By Joy' there's bound to be at least one mix with a happy hands-in-the-air vibe and there is with the 'Club Mix': starts off a bit cheesy but soon gets into a solid groove with a good arrangement. The 'Decoda Mix' strips things down a bit whilst keeping the song intact and sounding just as good and the 'Ikon Mix' is a little different with some alternative ideas adding to the whole thing nicely. Would have liked to hear a few more vocals, but generally a very good single that should be played to as wide an audience as possible.
