Hotel Underground have been around in Southern California for a couple of years and this is the first album - though you would never know to listen to it. A three-piece based round songwriter Scotty Cantino, they have an almost retro '70s soft rock feel heightened by Scotty's voice having strong hints of Larry Norman. The songs are strong, catchy and will have your mind wandering off - caught up by the intertwined melodies and lyrical stories of these songs. Covering everything from the journey of redemption through to the current state of America, the lyrics pull no punches and paint a very real picture of how Scotty sees the world.
