House Of heroes are a three piece band from Columbus, Ohio. They consist of Tim Skipper on vocals and guitar, Colin Rigsby on drums and AJ Babcock on bass. According to the blurb, their musical influences range from the Beach Boys to Weezer, the Beatles to Muse. As I sit here listening to this album, I would say more Weezer than the others. This album failed to excite me. It's as though I've heard it before... I haven't, of course, but it's that American college rock that seems to merge one band with another. There's nothing that truly feels like it's unique. It isn't a bad album; the musicians seem competent enough, the songs are well constructed and the production is tight (though uninspired). I did like the songs "Serial Sleeper" and "Metaphor In Parentheses" (a little pretentious - brackets). But all in all, a rather faceless and pedestrian offering.

In fact, you might very well have heard this before as it is basically their first self titled album(2005) by Gotee re-released. Shame on Mono v Stereo!
