Human stir up the dust of moral and spiritual complacency with their debut disc for Organic Records.  Randy Kinnett (vox), brothers Carl (rhythm/lead/acoustic guitars) and Vic Sapp (bass), Dean Martin Vanderwoade (rhythm/acoustic guitars) and Erick Garcia (drums) all got together between '92 and '97 to form Human - a name chosen literally at the toss of a coin.  Having had "Lemonade" featured on last year's 'Mindy's Revenge' compilation album, the band have since then collaborated with Billy Smiley (White Heart) to produce a hard hitting alternative sub-metal rock album of some note.  Despite the deceptive drum machine intro to the album's opening track, "Out Of The Dust" soon settles down to some fine tunes; well mixed and arranged complete with witty lyrics and catchy hooks.  The band don't hesitate to share down to earth truths about what it means to be human, simultaneously challenging the listener to enter into an ever closer walk with Christ.  Perhaps I'm being a little too pedantic, but I cannot help feeling that the album is just a bit too well produced in places; resulting in the band's rawer edge being somewhat suppressed.  Despite this very slight niggle, "Out Of The Dust" is an outstanding debut album, from a band who look set to make plenty of waves in the future.

The EIGHT28 cd was completed however did not make it out to stores. We started to tour however Randy left the band putting the brakes on the release and further touring.

I don't know if the 828 record ever came out or not. Maybe Erick could answer that one for you. Thanks for keeping in touch.

Hey guys, thanks for the great music!! We saw you back when in Tyler, Texas at our Vineyard church's, coffee house, Brewtones. You were our all time favorite and we still listen to your cd. The whole band signed the album for us. My husband was just mentioning y'all the other day, so I went on a search to see if I could find anything about what you're doing today. Our only regret: not having more music from y'all. God bless you all and much life to ya!

I ran into him about 2 years ago in the Clear Lake area working at a store. I called that store a few months later and he was no longer there. If anyone knows anything, please pass on the info. Thanks.

UPDATE! I now have 10 children(new girl named Lizzie) Pulled out the cd and ripped it to my laptop. Man I didn't realize how much I missed listening to this album. Word of wisdom! Hey guys, mix your sounds/genre and talents with more open worship type lyrics either directed from you to God or from God to others. ie:let God speak through you to those he wants to speak intimately with. Get on your face and seek him earnestly and he will speak his will for his people to you hearts. Transfer that to you music and use it to bring people into the presence of the most high God. God's will is always to be worshipped earnestly, with reckless abandon. See what happens, maybe a new revival that will wake up a lost and dying generation. Get busy somebody!! All things are possible through Christ!

I’m curious Ken…. We’re younpresent when we wrote these songs? Were you with us as we went around this country, or other parts of the globe and shared the gospel face to face with angry unbelievers? Were you there when our producer Billy Smiley or the rest of the label and Entire industry stole Everything We Worked for? Were you around when we were all so hurt and sad that much of the band walked away from relationships and Even affected our Godward relationships? I can answer for you sir, Absolutely NOT!!!!!! You sir have No business giving your 2 cent especially considering you are Obviously Spiritually Bankrupt! Mind Your Business!!!!

Hi Guys,

This CD was a work of God. No lie, I just got done ripping all my old CD's to the computer and your CD is THE ONLY ONE where each and every track made it to the hard drive... and I have A LOT of CD's :) - Thanks for sharing your songs with us
