This album is a different kettle of fish entirely to vol 1. Where the latter featured renditions of hymns on a solo concert grand, now that instrument has been forsaken for a super-duper synthesizer that can simulate drums, french horn and glockenspiel and still leave the right hand free to make the tea. The result is a series of totally inappropriate arrangements of old favourites like "Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus", "Immortal, Invisible" and much, much more! (Aargh!) The sleeve notes strangely give no mention of the musicians involved. Surely this is what will be playing if ever I am taken to Room 101.
