IDMC (or if you prefer Individuals Dedicated to the Ministry of Christ) have long been one of Britain’s hottest gospel choirs (I remember a blistering performance at the Cross Rhythms festival years ago) but recording-wise they’ve cut very little and even then, like 2001’s ‘Take It To The Streets’, it’s been of rather uneven quality. Now this EP puts this situation to rights for “Lift Your Head Up” is a hot tune with a searing club mix from Linsley Campbell (Lighthouse Family, Siani) and four other mixes, including House and Old School. A great gospel/R&B synthesis – catch it on the radio!
