This release from a Polish band is good stuff and breathes much needed air into classic/heavy metal but with an added ingredient of cello and violin. One review called it symphonic death metal and indeed the vocals especially crash into death metal territory. If anyone has doubts about that mixture working 'Illumina Tenabras Meas' will quickly alleviate all doubts. Apparently the band have honed their sound over previous demos and this is, what they call, a nine track EP (four of the songs have been designated "bonus tracks!"). They sing in Polish on some songs which sounds really cool and enhances the atmosphere and you get the songs translated in English in the bonus tracks later. The song "Hymn Of All Creation" is one of the best metal worship songs I have heard in a long time. The playing is tight, vocals are good, production for an independent is top quality. The artwork is good and atmospheric and the lyrics and their translations are included - full marks for that guys! Now we eagerly await a full album.
