You'll probably hear this next time you are in the local Christian bookshop, as they all seem to play easy listening background stuff to help you with your browsing. Stay instore long enough, though, and this 16 track collection will probably be added to your basket. "Simple, well crafted arrangements, coupled with fantastic musicians..." promises the cover, and for once the hype is not overblown! The arrangements of these well known worship songs is largely superb, whether slow or uptempo: “The Crucible For Silver” and “The King Of Love (The King Has Come)” are outstanding, and “We Bow Down” is not far behind. Andrew Green deserves much credit for his arranging and piano work, as does James Oliver on guitars and Simeon Wood on a whole host of instruments. This is British musicianship at its finest and a perfect Christmas gift for any loved ones.
