The album describes itself as containing “well crafted arrangements, coupled with fantastic musicians, which help set the mood of peace and tranquillity where intimacy with God can be found.” I agree it created more of a peaceful setting, but the tracks were nothing special and it sounded much like any other instrumental music CD in its style. I agree, it is a relaxing instrumental album, which contains new songs, but I had only heard of one of those new songs and I found it very hard to place the words, which are provided, into the tunes. It contains a range of instruments, mainly featuring co-producer Andrew Green’s piano and with well known sessioners like Simeon Wood (woodwind) and Robin Thompson-Clarke (cello) offering support. I wouldn’t say the album is anything special, I could imagine it playing in the background in the local Christian bookshop or at a dinner party but not something I would personally choose to listen to at home.
