A continuation of Integrity's enterprising and useful series. The first four were reviewed by Pat Herridge in CR16, these four tread the same path with their respective themes. As Pat said, it's an enjoyable way of learning Scripture. However did the centuries of poor souls manage without all these luxuries though? I believe there was a time when people were prepared to put a bit of hard graft into their spiritual life. Our society doesn't permit that of course, and we've given it full permission to control us, it seems. Anyway, I'm supposed to be reviewing not preaching. You can't help wondering though. 'Healing' applies lots of the relevant Scriptures, well balanced songs free from the vicious and cruel opinions often expressed in songs and teaching on this, one of the most difficult of subjects. The songs thankfully play safe by presenting Biblical statements for reception and meditation by the needy. The soloists are lesser known in the UK but all, Lisa Glasgow, Rick Riso and John Barbour do a fine job. A helpful, worthwhile presentation. I especially enjoyed the lively skipping rhythm of "A Joyful Heart", another of Lynn De Shazio's fine compositions.
