After suffering the pap of too many Yank kids schlock albums, what a breath of fresh air to hear Ish doing his stuff! Hurray for fun! Hurray for non-patronising songs. Hurray for English accents singing! Hurray for Ishmael! Created in one weekend's mayhem of laughter, recording, take aways and fun, the basic idea you can glean from the title - an album of rousing praising songs for the morning and gentle worship songs to lull little ones into peaceful, worshipful secure sleep. Cute ideas and it works although if you're a parent the thought of your tots marching up and down to some of these wakey wakey songs at 5.30 in the morning might not be a blessing for mum and dad. Kids will love it though! As usual, the songs are full of easy to grab truth that will inspire your kids and you. This'll be a favourite in the morning, driving in the car and at bedtime. Just face it. This is as good a kids' album as Ishmael has ever made.
