This popular Scottish singer has released this as a follow up to last year's 'When The Day Is Done'. This is Isla's first inspiraitonal album with the singer/songwriter penning all the songs herself. However I felt that many of Isla's lyrics lack substance and verge on the sentimental. Isla has previously been described as the female equivalent of Daniel O'Donnell and this is very evident in the country feel that runs throughout the album. Soothing melodies made the album easy to listen to and there is a well balanced mix of up-beat and slower tempo songs. Unfortunately at times the songs seemed to merge into one another and therefore were not particularly memorable. Yet "The Day That Christ Was Born" featuring the Berrill School Choir ended the 13-track album well and "Will You Walk With Me" made interesting use of the backing band. Overall this was a well produced album that caters for a specific audience but some will find it overly sweet and sugary.
