This free mixtape from the Houston-born emcee is based on the book Not A Fan by Kyle Idleman and encourages disciples of Jesus to fully commit their lives to the King. On the track "I Mean It" J-Flo tells how he became a passionate follower, calling out those who claim faith in Christ but demonstrate no difference in their lives. With some free flowing rhymes and lyrical patterns flying off the tongue over bass, kick and mainly dirty south minimalism (eg "Sidelines", "The Few", "Dollar Bills"), J-Flo brings some serious challenge and heat through the project. Guests featured include Second, Chosen, Godswriter and Reborn. We come down a notch with a smoother roller "Follower" with C-Will helping out (as he does on "Tug Of War" and "Drowning"). J-Flo delivers his message with aplomb and considerable creativity.
