This is far better than you would expect for a 15 year old teenager. Although a six track EP, it is Jacob's second album release, and shows significant improvement on his previous 2010 album. His acoustic guitar-based songwriting is in the style of Ed Sheeran with autobiographical reflections. I especially liked the lyrics of "Something Wonderful" - "I'm just the clay, you're moulding me.....you take the pieces and turn them into something beautiful". "Lost & Found" is wonderfully positive and would capture hearts at a summer festival. Previous criticism that there are too many words for the music no longer applies, as the lyrics scan perfectly with the rhythm. All six songs are neatly constructed and the professional production by Andy Baker really shows them off. The instrumentation is precisely balanced across the gentle drums, soft piano and tasty lead guitar. What I struggled with is Jacob's high pitched alto voice which reminded me of the comedian Joe Pesquale, so I found it difficult not to laugh and it detracted from enjoying the songs. That said, this is a triumph of songwriting and production and it's no surprise that "It's OK" and the title track have been selected for Cross Rhythms airplay.

I had the privilege of seeing Jacob perform at Sunday Night Live earlier this year. The CD is a great addition to my collection, and entertains, provokes and encourages.

I agree with 95% of Simon's review.
He was spot on with everything positive that was said about Jacob's music... the continual improvement of Jacob as he grows and matures and experiences more of life, him being a lyrical genius and being able to capture the hearts of many singing about experiences that a lot of people can empathise with and the simplicity but effectiveness of the music and tones throughout all songs. Jacob proves that he can sing a variety of types of songs and his talent simply beams through in this EP.

On the 5% of the review i disagree with, as an artist Jacob is improving and growing because of every part of who is, particularly his voice, his songwriting and his laid back and genuine personality. To comment that he sounds similar to Joe Pasquale (who i adore too!!) implies to me that Jacob was just being heard rather than properly listened to. Ive listened to Jacob many times and can honestly say Ive never had that distraction. I think it's truly wonderful to have someone like Jacob on the scene who is not only a Christian, but an amazing singer songwriter, and a lovely person. Its getting harder and harder to find people who tick all those boxes so Im pleased to say Jacob does.

Keep going mate; you do a grand job! :) God bless.

Overall, this is a really positive review, and one that is well deserved. Having followed Jacob since the start, I completely agree that his voice is continually improving and developing. Having seen Jacob perform "Lost and Found" live, I also agree that this is a real crowd pleaser.

I would urge readers to check his music out. "Lost And Found" is available as a free download via his website (www.jacoblloydmusic.com) and so have a listen and decide for yourself.
