If you were looking for a more traditional choir approach to Christmas music but wanted to avoid the worst cliches of those Carols At Christmas albums sold at Woolies, we were taken with The Saviour's Day by the Jane Lilley Singers (Eagle 086347098X) where truly stirring anthems like Handel's "And The Glory Of The Lord" were mixed with one or two surprises -Chris Eaton's "The Saviour's Day" coming off spectacularly well.
