Jared heralds from Colorado and once fronted the Desparate Band. Jared's debut solo recording is impressive and with its clean production, good voice and strong hooks has already produced three CR radio turntable hits, "I'm Coming Your Way", "Hear Us From Heaven" and "Every Time". Versions of two of the Desperation Band's notable songs "Amazed" and "Rescue" are also on this album. Anderson plays piano, the Wurlitzer, and on one track the xylophone. Name me anyone else you know that plays the xylophone other than the UK astronomer Patrick Moore! Jared is talented. His songs are well crafted, well sung. Sometimes I'm bowled over by all the talent out there in this big, big world of God's. Jared puts his talents to good use. You cannot help but be touched by the heart of his songs. I wanna be rescued, amazed and be brighter because of God: all one-word themes in the song list. Anderson sums up the overall theme of his album: "Get started. The path is beautiful and frightening all at the same time, so just dive in. Engage." The album is a grower, I listened to it four times to allow the spirit of it to permeate my shell-like. The songs are published through Vertical Worship Songs - and they do what they say on the sleeve. They connect. Produced by Pete Kipley, who has done the biz for MercyMe, Plus One and Rachael Lampa, this is a well above average worship-orientated album.
