Reviewed by Helen Dean Seasoned ambassadors of soaking music, with several CDs to their name, Julian and Melissa Wiggins collaborate here with American prophetic music minister Jeff Jansen. Passages from the Old Testament ally with prophetic utterance and heartfelt prayer alongside continuous play ambient music - instrumental and vocals - to powerful effect. Tracks last from under two minutes in length to nearly ten minutes, giving time for the effect to build and giving a total playing time of over 70 minutes. The subject of God's glory is journeyed through in the twenty tracks, the titles indicating the territory covered: "Tent Of Meeting", "Show Us Your Glory", "House Of Rest", "Shekinah", "Lion Of Judah" and so on. Haunting pipes give a different take on the old hymn "Oh The Deep Deep Love Of Jesus". Strings, keys, sax, other instruments and voices seamlessly gel to give a beautiful and hypnotic soundtrack with a pervading messianic feel but also one not far removed from the Vocalise music of Karl Jenkins and others. Mournful and hopeful in turn, passionate and prayerful by degrees, both dramatic and understated at times, this project is designed to release faith and revelation. It is certainly evocative, immersive and atmospheric.
