For a long time a part of the Nashville singer/songwriter community, Jeff also branched out into worship leading which has taken him all over the globe. This is by my reckoning Jeff’s fourth solo effort alongside writing many songs for other CCM staples. Anyone who includes a funk-rock/rap hybrid cover of “Humpty Dumpty” deserves attention for sheer nerve, but you know, Jeff actually gets away with it. Elsewhere he rocks out with gusto (opener “Before And After”), plays it sensitive (“Nothing” and the exquisite “Born From His Heart”). There are guest appearances from Kim Hill and Leann Albrecht, while guitar chords are helpfully included, so you to can sound like Jeff, which, believe me, would be a good thing.
