'Granite Stones And Clay' is the long awaited follow up to 'Falling Off The Edge Of The World'. An album produced by Andy Piercy and featuring, amongst others, the unmistakable Mike Haughton and Terl Bryant. A collection of folk, Celtic and country edged songs make up what was lor me a thoroughly enjoyable listen. The melody from the opening track, "Little Caesers", will slay with you for days and I'm sure, like me, you will find yourself humming the tune at the most unusual times of day and in the most peculiar places! "In The Doorway Tonight" is a heart rending ballad, originally written for London's Premier Radio, concerning the plight of the homeless. This brought a lump to my throat and made me take stock of God's blessings. My own personal favourite has to be "I Was Made To Love You", a beautifully written and arranged track with Jenny and Alex at their best. This is sheer poetry set to music - delightful! On the whole, this is a very impressive collection of songs which are both inspirational and challenging. Get down to your local CCM store and put this on order - you'll not regret it.
