Jeremiah Bowser is a singer/songwriter living in Jacksonville, Florida. He has one previous solo recording under his belt and recently spent a year on the road with excellent Integrity Music worship leader Paul Wilbur. His particular brand of music - all self-penned - comprises intense expressions of personal communication with God, his creator and lover. Largely uncluttered in nature, and broadly comparable (methinks) to output from America's Jason Upton or Ireland's Eoghan Heaslip, a couple of tracks carry a definite rock element throughout (especially "Praise The Lord" and the closing "Love Is Everywhere"). More generally, though - notably on "What Can I Give?" and the thoughtful "Unbelievable" -Jeremiah's pieces begin delicately, then stealthily build in passion till they reach a worthy, drawn-out crescendo. The strength of Bowser's vocals is adequately revealed at such times. This goes too for tracks like the ponderous "Only To Please You" and "Your Return", which are moody, floating ballad types, with, respectively, fine piano accompaniment from JB and suave violin touches from Morningstar's own Leonard Jones. A definite maturing is evident in Bowser's songwriting, and while the lyrics aren't exactly poetic gems, they work well in context. Meanwhile, his band play tightly throughout. A nicely packaged 47 minutes of passionate worship and prayer.
