Sound stuff from Jeremy (no relation to Steve) Camp. With four quality studio albums already behind him, Jeremy has produced another project full of memorable melodies and uplifting lyrics. From radio pop to rousing rock to soft-sung ballads, Camp has created a set of emotionally charged songs from his eventful life. The bulk of the cuts here are more mid-tempo than the numerous rockers on 'Restored' though the first single from the album 'Tonight' emanating what one critic described as "stinging grittiness" is easily the most aggressive track on the album. Other highlights include "What It Means" and the concluding "Give Me Jesus". I'd heard this song before sung by Fernando Ortega, but Camp's version of the old traditional standard is better. The beautiful track "When You Are Near" reminded me a little of Chris Isaak. The title track is the crux of Jeremy's testimony, with his words "I know that I've been given more than beyond measure/I know that I have been given more than earthly treasure" a summary of his life view. Actually, to highlight songs misses the point. The whole album oozes excellence, except the dull sleeve photography.
