I recall many years ago seeing Syd Little and Eddie Large doing a comedy sketch as Wayne Sleep and Bonnie Langford (I kid you not!). After one dance routine had gone disastrously wrong, Bonnie/Eddie picked her/himself up and chirped, "Gosh, Wayne, that was absolutely average!" I had that feeling when I listened to this album. This is a rather run-of-the-mill example of US power pop/rock, with guitars and keyboards laying down a busy sound over some serious drumming. What lets it down for me is the quality of the songwriting: I've played the album several times and I honestly can't remember a single song. Jessica's vocals are slightly echoey and rather breathy/squeaky at times, and her voice is competent but with little to really make it stand out: Jillian or Ashley Cleveland she isn't. There's a note on the sleeve declaring that all profits from the album are for charity. If I ever see that, and the product isn't up to scratch, it makes me a little sad. "It'll do" shouldn't be in a Christian vocabulary, especially when said Christian is in any way creative, and this album has an air of "It'll do" about it.

WAY Wrong!

This album is very nice and at least 2 songs: Midnight Blue and Snowfall are memorable!

wish she had released more.
