Jim, a young worship leader from Lee on the Solent Community Church, has just started recording his own songs, particularly with the musical and production backing of popular rock band Replenish, whose members are from the same church. This four-track EP is competent enough but fails to have that something to make it be noticed as different. There are many gifted local church worship leaders who are writing their own songs as an expression of worship. But from a CE consumer perspective it's difficult to come up with really strong writing and even one or two stand-out songs. Hopefully this rather average CD will be a stepping stone to stronger songs, and better recordings in the future.
