This six-song collection from a Guernsey-based worship leader is largely in the pop vein. The sincerity is obvious and the lyrics are typical of worship material. The tempo is upbeat on the title track though "Abandoned To You" is a more reflective ballad as is "Turn Not Your Face", my favourite track, which has probably the best melody on the album. Production by Andy Baker is fine and he doubles up effectively on bass, keyboards and background vocals. Le Page's voice is pleasant and her diction is good, which is always welcome. The songwriting though could be sharper. For example, "Praise be to your name/Your love will never change/I rejoice and lift you high/Let our praises fill the sky." Rather too much cliché there I'm afraid. On the plus side, 'The Message Of The Cross' does convey a prayerful mood.
