New Jersey singer/songwriter John DeGrazio demonstrates he's a man who knows his way round a catchy melody on this slickly produced American release. But don't imagine that slick means bland! Instead DeGrazio creates acoustic pop in a highly contemporary fashion built around his rhythmic guitar work and soulful poppy voice. The overall feel of the album is definitely downbeat but there's something delightful about both the songs and the whole effect of the album. Not totally mellow but there are some chillout moments on "Wish I Could Have You", "Sooner Or Later" and "Destroy". Elsewhere "Everywhere You Go" and "Seems So Wrong" fit into breezy pop territory. The overall effect is summed up in one word.Nice!
