Although coming under the category of jazz, what this Cambridgeshire-based muso gives us with this CD is so much more than simply jazz. Presented here is an eclectic mix of styles including rap, pop and rock fused together with considerable flair. With renowned British jazz pianist and composer Andrea Vicari playing piano and assisting with arrangements Heavens tackles several issues such as the daily grind without hope, "Monday On Freedom Street". This song also unexpectedly features the hot rapping talent of Jahaziel. The ignorance of the plight of the poor due to the trappings of seeking the riches of this world is highlighted on the funky title track. Also featured here are two instrumentals, "Voyage Around My Father" with the accordion setting the scene and the percussion laden "Bodiccia's Voice". There is enough diversity to make this album appeal to a wide audience.
