Jonathan Delbridge leads worship at Grace Community Church, Morval, Cornwall. Members of Jonathan's church asked if he would put together a recording of piano arrangements of worship songs and hymns, hence this album. Jonathan is obviously a very talented pianist. He has been playing since the age of four and has the highest diploma in piano performing awarded by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. There is a good mix of modern worship songs and classic hymns. I did find myself drifting away listening to some of the tracks, such as "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" as it seemed a bit lengthy. Having said that, the tone and sound of the piano Jonathan plays is beautiful and must be wonderful in a worship setting. I was quite interested to see what Jonathan would do with the arrangement of "What A Friend I've Found/What A Friend We Have In Jesus". However, I was slightly disappointed as it was a bit dull and never really took off. The last track was a surprise - I think some of the Jerry Lee Lewis in Jonathan was awakened! It is a very lively performance of "I Walk By Faith". It would have been good if there had been more like this on the album - to create some variety. My favourite was the stirring and passionate rendition of "My Jesus, My Saviour".
