'Desert Cry' is a passionate collection of songs from Nashville-based Messianic Christian Jordan. Working with the singer/songwriter on this project is his grandfather, the legendary producer Jerry Marcellino, who has worked with Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and Michael Jackson. The result is an uncompromising mix of songs that challenge, such as the Keith Green-styled "Tickle My Ears Gospel", and songs that draw you into worship like "Rain Down". Jordan has a unique vocal tone and his raw, untamed style sits well with his message of uncompromising faith. The lyrics are solidly based on Scripture. Some are in Hebrew, owing to his Jewish heritage, such as in "Hear, O Israel" which helps to give it a prophetic intensity. Jordan's eclectic sound could be described as a fusion of Keith Green, Alice In Chains and Coldplay (if you can imagine such a thing!). 'Desert Cry' harks back to the prophets of old, crying out with their message of repentance and turning back to God: a message that Jordan carries to his generation today.

Product Description

2000 years ago the followers of Yeshua (Jesus) turned their world upside down (Acts 17:6)! Today, a young Jewish believer, Jordan Elias, carries that same burden from his ancient Hebrew roots – to turn this world upside down in his generation, proclaiming an uncompromising message… repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus the Messiah (Acts 20:21).

Desert Cry sounds unlike anything you’ll hear on radio today. Jordan’s songs, unique vocal tone and his raw, untamed style, invite the listener on a musical pilgrimage reminiscent of the early Jesus Movement and the 1970s Golden Age of Rock.

Jordan’s lyrical poetry shines on songs like the Keith Green-esque Tickle My Ears Gospel, Do You Want Fire? (a challenge to lay down your life for the Lord), Emily (a word to young people that life is short and you must make the most of your time for God), Springtime (both song and video brings hope and a future to those who wait upon the Lord through the hard times), Hear O Israel (reminds us all that the prophetic promises of God are irrevocable) and Down Down (which takes the listener down to their knees as they cry out for God to teach them to weep for the lost).

This enhanced CD includes 14 songs and the powerful video Springtime.

Jordan Elias is a Voice of one Crying in the Wilderness… Don’t miss the call of Desert Cry!
