Josh is, of course, a classically trained tenor who in American has become a genuine superstar clocking up millions of CD sales. Now his music is being belatedly marketed to Christian retail. Josh was raised as an Anglican-Episcopalian following his father's conversion to Christianity and has performed at many charity events during his career. This high quality release contains both a DVD and CD recorded live at Salt Lake City and demonstrates the talent this man has. Many of his best known songs are here including the excellent "You Are Loved", "Mai" and "So She Dances". A duet with Angelique Kidjo, "Pearls", is also included. My only disappointment with the package is the CD is very much second to the DVD and lasts under 50 minutes when the DVD is over 100 minutes. If you're new to Josh's warm, carefully crafted classical MOR, this release is a good place to start.

Product Description
A fantastic package for Josh Groban fans - live CD & DVD set with 9 audio tracks, 20 DVD tracks and bonus footage.

Following the best-selling album of 2007—the #1 Pop, quadruple-platinum Noël—singer Josh Groban headlines a new CD+DVD set, featuring live versions of several of his hits plus appearances by Angelique Kidjo and Lucia Micarelli. Filmed in 2007 in Salt Lake City, in honour of his first arena concert, which was held in the same city where he performed at the 2002 Winter Olympics closing ceremonies, Awake Live raises up ever higher the most popular young Adult Contemporary star of our era.
