If kids were 'Switched On' by Judy Mackenzie Dunn's 2005 collection of tuneful compositions, they will hopefully be 'Knocked Out' by her latest offering. As with that previous output, songs are produced, arranged and recorded by Paul Field, who also provides guitar and keyboard noises. The songs are sung (in tune) by a team of kids of varying ages, with several taking lead role. The tunes (especially those upbeat) are catchy and varied, and all are melodic and contain a helpful moral teaching. This varies from what is meant by Jesus being the "Bread" of life, to how to react "When Trouble Comes" to an invitation to "Live In The Son". Full lyrics and guitar chords are colourfully provided in the inserts. A musically and thematically diverse set of songs, thankfully devoid of the cheesiness so common to kid's praise discs.
