This album is from a series of jazzy instrumental albums produced by Cool Springs Records. Juju Song is a classically trained Korean pianist, who brings her consummate artistry to a number of old hymns and three original compositions. She plays very much in the style of Dave Grusin and is ably accompanied on this album by Craig Nelson on bass, Steve Brewster on drums and the wonderful Dave Cleveland on guitar (the latter has his own solo album in the same series). It's beautifully produced by Don Marsh and is interesting without being inaccessible. There's a fine line between glossy jazz and lift music - and this stays just the right side of the line, with interpretations of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", "It Is Well With My Soul" and "In The Sweet By And By" among the 12 tracks. Ms Song herself contributes three compositions to the album, which is well worth a listen.

Thank you Ian Hayter! You were the only commentator to clarify the "mystery" of this extraordinarily talented Juju - who was predestined to be born with Song in her last name! I endorse every line of your precise review.

Awesome CD, I've been wanting material like this for a while, I didn't know you guys had it. I love instrumentals especially jazzy ones.

If possible, please send me any piano sheets and/or easy chord lessons.
God bless you always and forever!!

May the Lord continue to bestow His spirit upon such gifted artists so that they can share their creation and talents with us. Special thanks to my dear and wonderful friend Bomni Okonny (who is a very talented artist herself) for introducing me to this fantastic album.

This album is great! Usually Christian jazz is a bit lame, but not this album. The arangements are wonderfully inventive and thick with instrumentation. There isn't a bad track on it. The whole thing can only be described as "Tasty." It is jazz the way jazz is supposed to be. One day this will be a classic album. I cannot get enough of it.

WOW !!

I hope the group does many, many, many more.

I'm buying a half dozen for gifts. I have waited for this a long time. Maybe it has been out there and it just took a long time for me to find. At any rate, I LOVE IT.

THANK YOU for this beautiful creation.
I'm so thankful to the LORD for creating you all and putting you together for this wonderful work.

Jerry
