It’s amazing that it’s only in 2004 that one of British Christian music’s most treasured voices finally gets its first front sleeve CD credit. Tens of thousands though will recognise the pure-toned voice of Julie Costello for the major contribution she made to the ‘City Of Gold’ album (as well as several other Gold Records projects). ‘Lumiere’ is a modern worship album based on 19th century spiritual words, prayers and blessings set to music by Phil Baggaley while most of the old hands associated with a Gold album (Neil Costello, Mark Edwards, Dave Clifton, Mal Pope) contribute bits and pieces. A mood of melodic tranquillity permeates the project.

After marveling at the vocals and beautiful arrangement of the songs, "Land of Angels," and "Angels Wings" from the Twelve Stories About Angels CD, I was blessed to find this gem from Gold Records.

My wife and I wept the first time we listened to "Let Your Beauty Dwell." A superb listen!
