This is a five-song collection from a north London Anglican church which display creativity, energy and passion and not least a surprise or two. There is an array of singing voices and styles which produce a tapestry of sounds from the pulsating opening of "Blood" with its ethereal chorus to the quieter but equally impactful "Singing Over Us" which grows and grows in its effect. The title track is a stripped back piano and cello offering with emotive lyrics ("I will come home to you") which build to a crescendo of praise when the drums and guitars kick in. "Now Glorious" completes the compilation with the same energy as the opener but contains moments of reflection in the lyrics ("God of love, you stand with us/Now you reign, glorious!"). These songs come close to the kind of thing you'd expect on a Hillsong United album. More power to them and though this may be the first recording from the church, it won't be the last.
