This six-track CD grows on you as it progresses. By the end of the first track ("Break The Cycle") you find you're listening to it far more than you thought you would when it started. Why is this? I'm not really sure - it could be the pop of the rock, or the rock in the pop, maybe the vocals start to get through, maybe the lyrics start to make sense (and they make more sense than several things I've heard this year) and when the title track fires in it's with a pure '80s synth hook, except it's sung. Throughout, it's solid guitars, clear vocals, unfussy drumming, uncluttered background fills, well constructed songs and then a bit more. If you like the idea of power pop new wave post-punk (Eh? Editor) brought up to date with the occasional Beatles-ish melody line, then you'll like this.
