If you’d been to Spring Harvest the last couple of years you might have heard Karen Jones whose moving seminars on the themes of “where is God when it hurts” have helped many. That theme has also inspired the title track of this three-song single, originally recorded in 2001. The song, an ethereal ballad, is quite beautiful and was subsequently picked up by SANDS, the charity which provides support for bereaved parents. Elsewhere here there’s an attractive “I Am A Spirit” complete with a funky bass line. Karen is now ministering full time in an Anglican church. I hope she still finds time to sing.
