Volume 2 again shows Keith's reliability in consistently producing quality material that is profound. Throughout over two hours worth of listening (proving to be excellent value for money!) he proves himself as a pianist of remarkable dexterity and skill. Another interesting paradox is that though the musical style is broadly soft pop there are other senses in which the deep questions that are asked of life prove to be sometimes quite unsettling. This selection includes classics such as "You Are The One", "When I First Trusted You", "The Sheep And The Goats", and the choruses "O Lord You're Beautiful" and  "Create In Me a Clean Heart". Although there is little variation in many ways from Volume 1 there are still classic moments here you need in your collection.

By 1988, compact discs were high on the rise, I am so thankful for that. 6 years after Keith's passing, we are given two sets of his most treasured songs.
I have volume 2, songs from 1980-82, which includes several of my favorite Keith Green songs. I have loved "I Want to be More Like JESUS" from first listen; Kelly Willard accents the song so beautifully, making it such a memorable tune. "Oh, LORD, YOU'RE Beautiful" is another top fave, I never tire of hearing these 2. A total of 34 songs fill the 2 cd's on the songset, well worth the invest. A couple of months prior to Keith's passing, the album "Songs for the Shepherd" was released, the song "How Majestic is YOUR Name" is heard; Top CCM artist Sandi Patty would release a song with same title this same year: Both are top notch CCM. Many of the songs from 1980 "So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt" are included; "Grace by Which I Stand" is another great high-light from the lp. The countrified "Draw Me" draws the listener in completely (glad the tune wasn't too twangy). Keith was a guest on Pam Mark Hall's 1980 album which included the hit "Gonna Love YOU": well the title words stuck with Keith and he recorded "LORD, I'm Gonna Love YOU" 2 years later.
There are some new songs included, one is entitled,
"Summer Snow", it's almost like a reflection that Keith was going home" to Heaven ....unexpectedly!.
It is so hard to believe that it is nearing 30 years!-that we lost Keith and his ministry of music. Great to hear some classic CCM on cd format. GOD Bless!-Don
