Mixing ministry with solid R&B credentials, this Texan singer/songwriter brings together a sweep of influences including the soulful end of Stevie Wonder and gospel artists like Darryl Coley and Kirk Franklin. Highlights here include the title track with its laid back soul feel and great vocal performances and then there's the obviously African rhythmic influences and vocal style of "African Clap Song". "Trace" is a snappy opening to the album and songs like "It's In His Word" and the worshipful ballad "Nobody Like You" gives Mosley the opportunity to minister to the listener. And that's the heart of this album, a collection of smoothly (self) produced gospel songs with enough variation to keep the interest throughout. He won't get the megabucks promotion of better known artists but if you love gospel or R&B, then this is well worth investigating as the talented Mr Mosley has got plenty to sing about!
